The late Jaiden Kendall, affectionately known as "Shug," "Bear," and "Big Boi," passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14th, 2024. Jaiden, a recent honors graduate from Kentucky State University, was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. His untimely death has left the Owensboro community in mourning.
Erica LaShay expressed her condolences on Facebook, saying, "My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kendall and Washington family on the unexpected loss of Jaiden Kendall. This is a tragic loss that has affected the Owensboro community. If you can find it in your heart to spare any dollar amount toward funeral expenses, the family would greatly appreciate it."
In response to this tragedy, Nicole Tutt organized a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of Kevin Washington Jr. to help support Jaiden’s family with funeral and other expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Help Support Jaiden’s Family Through Their Loss," has a goal of $15,000. As of today, $210 has been raised from six donations. Contributors include Aaliyah T with $50, Angela Tutt with $50, Lewis Ebony with $30, Kennedy Jackson with $40, and Gabby McCarty with $20.
Nicole Tutt emphasized the emotional and financial burdens that Jaiden’s family is facing, stating, "Please support Jaiden’s family during this time of need after his unexpected death. It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share the unexpected passing of Jaiden Kendall. Any support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated."
The Owensboro community is rallying to provide support and comfort to Jaiden’s family during this difficult time.
