The late father of J. Logan Taylor passed away on June 26, 2024, after a prolonged and chronic illness. The news has brought immense sorrow to his family, particularly to J. Logan, who is an upcoming freshman at Philander Smith College.
J. Logan’s father did not have any insurance, leaving the family with the financial burden of his cremation services. His elderly grandparents, aged 88 and 85, are unable to afford the expenses to lay him to rest. In response, J. Logan has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise $2,500 to cover the cremation costs.
Regina Jones is organizing the fundraiser from Dallas, Texas. In his heartfelt plea, J. Logan expressed his determination to do everything possible to assist with his father’s final arrangements despite being just 18 years old and at the beginning of his college journey.
"Even if it is $1, that’s one more dollar than we currently have. If nothing else, please pray for my efforts to be successful and for my dad to be laid to rest with dignity," J. Logan wrote, seeking support from the community during this difficult time.
