The late Hope Harris was from Springfield, Missouri. On June 22nd, an unimaginable tragedy struck, taking the life of the bright and beautiful 18-year-old Hope, along with the unborn child she was carrying. A recent high school graduate, Hope’s future was brimming with possibilities until a car accident on June 15th changed everything.
The accident, which impacted the passenger side, left Hope critically injured with brain bleeds, broken bones, and internal damages. She was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO, where she underwent immediate surgery to stop the brain bleeds and subsequent multiple surgeries and treatments. Despite fighting valiantly for a week in the Critical Care Unit, Hope’s condition took a devastating turn on Thursday evening, and she succumbed to her injuries.
Hope was laid to rest on June 29th. The Harris family is now faced with the overwhelming financial burden of her medical and funeral expenses. Angela K. Harris, Hope’s aunt, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover these costs. With a goal of $20,000, the funds raised will go directly towards funeral costs and outstanding medical bills.
"Hope’s light may have been extinguished too soon, but your generosity can help keep her memory alive," Angela writes, reaching out to the community for support during this incredibly difficult time.
