The late Henry Maloon from Nashville-Davidson, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2024, at the age of 54. His death has left his family in a difficult financial situation as they navigate through this heartbreaking loss. Henry is survived by his two daughters, Alyssa Johnson and Laura Wotton, and his granddaughter, Penelope.
Laura Wotton, along with Alyssa Johnson, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover Henry’s memorial expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Support for Henry Maloon’s Memorial Expenses," was created yesterday. As of now, it has raised $75 out of the $5,000 goal from two donations.
Laura expressed her gratitude on Facebook, stating, "Due to the unexpected passing of our father, Henry Maloon, we are asking for any financial support that could be offered. Unfortunately, all final expenses fall on Alyssa Johnson and myself. We are forever grateful for any donations. Please share and continue to keep my family in your prayers as we navigate this heartbreaking loss."
In the comments section of the Facebook post, Ashley Johnson, who worked nights with Henry, shared her condolences: "I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked nights with him, he was such a sweet and funny man. He is truly missed."
The community’s response has been supportive, but there is still a significant way to go to reach the fundraising goal. This effort highlights the need for collective support during times of personal tragedy and the financial strain unexpected deaths can place on families.
