Hayle Kathleen Dell Kelsey was taken from this world too soon in a vehicle accident on May 10, 2024. Born on August 15, 1999, to Zack and Angie Kelsey in Casper, Wyoming, Hayle’s life was marked by her vivacious spirit and dedication to her family. Growing up, Hayle excelled at gymnastics, volleyball, and track, and graduated from Platte Valley High School in Kersey, Colorado, in 2017.
Hayle’s spunky attitude, infectious laughter, and radiant smile touched numerous lives. She was known for her willingness to help anyone in need. In 2019, Hayle welcomed her son Haxley into the world, who quickly became the center of her universe. Together, they shared many adventures in their four short years together.
Her sudden passing has left her family and friends in deep mourning. Anastacia Lemire, a close friend, shared her grief on Facebook: "I will forever miss you. The Kelseys were our next-door neighbors growing up. We went and rode dirt bikes with them, went to the lake, watched the fights, and never failed to have a good time. Hayle Kelsey was like the big sister I never had. She lost her life way too soon and it breaks my heart."
To support Haxley’s future, a GoFundMe campaign has been established by Hayle’s aunt, Sadie Cotton. The fundraiser, "Support Haxley’s Future in Memory of Hayle," has raised $2,220 of its $5,000 target so far. The funds will go into a restricted account for Haxley, intended to support him as he grows up and navigates life without his mother. "Haxley suddenly lost his momma, Hayle, a week ago. He has an amazing family that are banding together to make sure he grows up happy and healthy never forgetting the love of his momma," Sadie shared.
Everyone is encouraged to celebrate Hayle’s life in their own way and to continue sharing memories of her with Haxley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the GoFundMe or acts of kindness in Hayle’s memory. As Anastacia Lemire poignantly noted, "If you have it in your heart to donate to this GoFundMe, this little boy will have to live without his mamma. He was her entire world."
