The late Gregory Thurman, from San Antonio, Texas, passed away after being ill and in and out of the hospital for several months. His loved ones, led by Alicia Barnes, are seeking support for his burial expenses through a GoFundMe campaign.
Alicia Barnes, who is organizing the fundraiser, shared, "Hi everyone, some of y’all might know me and some may not. But my name is Alicia and I am trying to raise enough funds to help my love, Gregory Thurman, be buried as he should. Many know he has been sick and in and out the hospital for a few months. Me and the family will appreciate anything you can give."
The goal of the campaign is to raise $5,000, and as of now, $100 has been donated by Brian McGarity, who contributed 19 minutes ago. Alicia Barnes has emphasized the importance of this support for Gregory’s burial, appealing to the community for their assistance.
Alicia Barnes also received support from friends on Facebook. Alicia Barnes posted: "Nikki Thurman sis here you go… Please if you can help out the family you can also send funds to $Aliciab00."
Despite the grief and the financial burden, the community’s initial support showcases the importance of collective effort in times of need.
