The late Greg Brown, affectionately known as Sylvester, passed away on the morning of June 1st after a long and courageous battle with serious health issues. Greg was a beloved friend, brother, and father, known for his hilarious Dad jokes and his ability to make every moment memorable. Despite having a tough exterior, those close to him saw the kindness and warmth he carried within.
Greg’s journey over the past few years was marked by numerous health battles. His resilience and unwavering spirit were a testament to his strength. However, his fight came to an end, leaving a void that can never be filled. His passing has brought unexpected financial burdens to his loved ones.
A fundraiser organized by Brian Douglas, along with Nili Jacobs and Joanna Intara, aims to cover Greg’s final expenses and ensure he is honored in a manner befitting his memory. The funds raised will also support Greg’s daughter, Meadow, who now faces the future without him. As of today, $2,182 has been raised out of a $20,000 goal, with contributions from 17 donors, including a recent donation of $100 from Paul Cardenas and a top donation of $500 from an anonymous donor.
The fundraiser highlights the profound emotional loss and financial strain caused by Greg’s passing. Brian Douglas and the organizing team express heartfelt gratitude for the kindness, generosity, and support shown during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and will make a significant difference in honoring Greg’s memory and supporting Meadow.
