The late Gina Judd from Ashfield, NSW, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, June 30th, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Her daughter, Andrea Judd, has organized a fundraiser in her memory to support the Chris O’Brien Life House, where Gina received care during her illness. This news has left the community heartbroken, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Andrea Judd has expressed her gratitude towards the staff at Chris O’Brien Life House, referring to them as her mother’s "personal angels." She has initiated a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of $5,000 to make a donation in Gina’s name as a final thank you to the place that provided Gina with two more precious years with her family.
The fundraiser has raised $520 so far, with contributions from several individuals:
- Dalia De Maria: $10
- Gabrielle Craven: $100
- Cheyenne Tolley: $150
- Roisin Ward: $20
- Jessica Tilley: $5
Andrea urges everyone to contribute as much as they can and to share the campaign with others who might be interested in supporting this cause. "My mum would have done anything to thank each individual staff member there," Andrea shared. The funds raised will be donated to Chris O’Brien Life House, honoring Gina Judd’s memory and the care she received.
Andrea Judd’s heartfelt plea on Facebook reflects the deep appreciation and love they hold for the caregivers and the profound impact Gina had on those around her.
