George Spaulding, a beloved member of the Northwood community, passed away on June 5th, 2024, at the age of 61. His daughter, Jessica Spaulding, has organized a fundraiser to support the family during these difficult times.
George was a dedicated father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He served in the Army National Guard for 30 years, retiring in October 2010. Known for his expertise, George was a gunsmith and gun salesman for many years, and his business, George’s Gun Shop, was a staple in the community.
He is survived by his wife Brenda, his children Alex and Jess, his Golden Retriever Harley, his mother Jean, and his sisters Debbie and Dianna. The family is now faced with significant financial challenges, including hospital bills from George’s prolonged illness and funeral costs. To help alleviate these burdens, Jessica has set up a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of $25,000.
Ethan Johnston, a close family friend, shared his thoughts on Facebook: "This one hits home as the Spauldings are like part of our family. George was a big part of my life growing up. Any amount is appreciated. Let’s help them out!"
The funeral service for George will be held on June 17th, 2024, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. The exact time is yet to be determined.
Jessica’s heartfelt message on the GoFundMe page highlights the family’s need: "Any amount helps and we will appreciate anything. Thank you in advance." The community’s support will be crucial in helping the Spaulding family navigate this challenging time.
