We are grateful to the responding officers for their patience and restraint as this is a tragedy for all involved. Please use this great loss as an opportunity to share Gabriel’s passion for all to know his Jesus; as Gabriel would want this."

Dear McNutt and Engle Family
There is no making sense of what doesn’t make sense. So I won’t even try. I do know that Jesus Christ was tried, tempted and suffered in every way as we do. His advocacy and sacrifice for us, and Gabriel, is more than sufficient. May God be with you and comfort you all during this time of grief. I will keep you in my prayers often over the coming days and months.
Yours in Christ
