The late Frank Patrick Blankenship, a dedicated father, grandfather, and US Army veteran from Conway, South Carolina, sadly passed away unexpectedly from throat cancer on June 24th, 2024. Frank was born on July 11th, 1940, and faithfully served the nation for eight years. His sudden death has left his family in a state of shock and financial strain, as they were not prepared to handle the funeral costs so soon.
Doctors had predicted Frank would have at least another year with his loved ones, making his untimely passing even more devastating. Frank Blankenship’s family is now urgently seeking support to cover the funeral expenses and give him the respectful send-off he rightfully deserves, honoring his service and sacrifices for the country.
Frank’s family, through a GoFundMe campaign organized by Frank Blankenship, is aiming to raise $11,000 to manage the funeral costs. So far, they have raised $140 from two donations. Christy Champion contributed $40, and Ace Champion donated $100. The family deeply appreciates any contribution, no matter the size, as it will significantly impact their ability to celebrate Frank’s life and his military service.
The community is encouraged to support this cause and spread the word to others who might also wish to contribute. Frank Blankenship’s family extends their gratitude for the immediate attention and generosity during this tough time.
