Emily A. Koutsoliontos, a beloved 28-year-old, tragically passed away in a horrific car accident in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Her death has left her parents, Michele and Nick, her sister Grace, and her brother Kevin, along with her friends and extended family, completely devastated and heartbroken.
Emily was known for her infectious smile, welcoming heart, and contagious laughter. Amelia Frances, Emily’s cousin, shared on Facebook, "To know Emily, was to love her, for her beauty, her smile, her big heart, and contagious laugh. She was not just my cousin, she was an older sister, a friend. Life won’t be the same without you, you will be so missed. I love you, Emmy."
In the wake of this tragedy, Linda Pollack organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "Remembering Emily: Support for the Koutsoliontos Family." The fundraiser aims to raise $20,000 to help Emily’s family with funeral and burial expenses, including the cost of bringing her back home to New York. As of now, the campaign has raised $575 from five donations, with contributions from individuals like Jake Wohl and Sara Pollack.
The community has come together to support the Koutsoliontos family in their time of need. Michael Calise, Vic Reilly, Jenna Lauria, Alexa Johnson, and Angela Genevieve are among those who expressed their condolences and offered support on social media.
Emily’s untimely passing serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life. The funds raised will not only help cover the immediate financial burdens but also ensure that Emily’s spirit continues to be felt by those who knew and loved her. As Linda Pollack noted, "We know the love Emily shared so freely will continue to be felt by all of us. Please keep the Koutsoliontos family in your prayers and Emily’s beautiful spirit alive in your thoughts and hearts."
Emily will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
