The late Dustin Millar was from Scotland. The community and his family are struggling to prepare his burial and support his loved ones, making this news especially devastating. Dustin’s friends, Ross Allan, Jamie, and Shaun Mckeen, have organized a fundraiser to support his family during this difficult time.
Ross Allan, along with Jamie and Shaun, shared their grief and efforts on Facebook. Shaun Mckeen posted, "In Loving Memory of Dustin Millar. On the 15th June, I am taking part in tough mudder along with Jamie and Ross. We are dedicating our attempt in memory of our dear friend Dustin who sadly passed on the 1st June. We are taking donations in memory of Dustin to support his family at this difficult time. Please share with your friends and family."
The fundraiser, organized by Ross Allan, has so far raised £1,265 of its £5,000 goal through 32 donations. Dustin was remembered as an amazing dad, husband, son, uncle, and friend. His passion for completing the tough mudder this year, after having done it 10 years ago, was a testament to his spirit and determination.
Jane Read, a recent donor, contributed £50, while Debbie Bond made the top donation of £100. Stacy Lyle was the first to donate, contributing £50. The fundraiser aims to help Dustin’s family financially and ensure he has the send-off he deserves. Ross Allan noted, "We are asking for donations, with all proceeds going directly to Dustin’s family to help ease the financial strain at this difficult time and to allow him to have the send-off he deserves. Dustin will always be in our hearts."
The community’s response highlights the collective effort to support Dustin’s family and honor his memory. Jenni Mac commented, "Good on you Shaun Mckeen I will donate later this week," reflecting the communal solidarity and support during this tough time.
