Dustin Jones, a beloved member of the Buda community, passed away today. Known for his roles as a dedicated son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, Dustin also made a significant impact as a soccer coach for many young kids in the community. His unexpected death has left his family and friends grieving deeply.
Jennifer Perry has organized a fundraiser to support Dustin’s family with medical and funeral expenses. As of now, $4,390 has been raised out of a $10,000 goal through 27 donations. The top donation of $1,000 came from Matt Baker, while the first donation of $50 was made by Elisabeth Ramirez. Lauren Buck also contributed $100 recently.
The community is mourning the loss of Dustin, who was not only a coach for his daughter and recently his son but also a mentor to many young athletes. His coaching style was unique and heartfelt, treating every child on his team as his own. This garnered immense respect and love from the children and their families.
Jennifer Perry, in her fundraiser message, expressed the collective grief: "We are at a loss for words today. It is with a heavy heart that we want everyone to know we lost one of the best today! For all of you who know Dustin Jones, you know he was a great son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, friend to many and a soccer coach to many young kids."
The community is also organizing a food train to support the family further. Jennifer Perry requested everyone to share the fundraiser information with anyone who knew Dustin or was influenced by his coaching at HYSA. The outpouring of support highlights the significant impact Dustin had on those around him and the profound loss felt by the community.
