The late Dorothea Villa, a resident of Hanford, California, passed away on June 2, 2024, due to complications from cirrhosis and kidney failure. Her passing has left her family and friends in deep sorrow as they struggle to cope with the loss of a beloved mother and friend.
Dorothea was born in Nayarit, in the town of San Felipe Aztatan, which she fondly remembered throughout her life. Known for her bravery and cheerful disposition, Dorothea loved to dance and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She lived to the age of 87, a blessing her family thanks God for allowing.
Her daughter, Yanel Ayala, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for Dorothea’s funeral expenses. The goal is to reach $15,000, with $100 already raised through the generosity of Olegario Velazquez, the first donor.
Jackie Rocha, who shared the GoFundMe link on Facebook, expressed her heartfelt plea: "Good morning everyone, it is with a heavy heart that I come on here and ask if you guys could please help contribute to the Ayala family’s GoFundMe. This is a loving and caring family that just wants to give their loved one a proper burial. As many of us know, you are never ready for an unexpected loss. Thank you guys so much and no amount is too small."
Yanel Ayala shared her emotional message on the GoFundMe page: "Hello everyone, with a huge pain in our hearts, we share the death of my mother Dorothea Villa who passed away on June 2, 2024. She suffered from cirrhosis and kidney failure. My beautiful mom was a very brave lady, very cheerful, and she loved to dance, always with a beautiful smile. We ask you on behalf of my brothers and I for a donation for the unexpected funeral expenses. We appreciate anything you are able to give and we thank you for the prayers and blessings."
The family is hoping to receive support from the community to give Dorothea the proper burial she deserves and to alleviate the financial burden of her unexpected passing.
