The late Dorian Saroka was from Fort Worth. The community and his family are devastated by his tragic and untimely death. Dorian was involved in an accident on June 25th when a truck pulled out in front of him. He had no time to react, and his motorcycle was no match for the large truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene at just 20 years old.
Mary Reasoner, Dorian’s aunt, is organizing a GoFundMe campaign to help honor his memory. With a goal of $5,000, the fundraiser aims to give Dorian a proper memorial. Mary describes Dorian as a truly great kid who deserves the very best. Despite not having life insurance, they hope to raise the necessary funds to say a proper goodbye to him.
Dorian had many friends at the marina, where he loved working and was hopeful to get his Captain’s License soon. He also enjoyed skateboarding, riding his motorcycle, listening to Michael Jackson on his record player, and his newest hobby: surfing. His friends from the fire department, high school, and various other parts of his life all played a special role in his journey.
Jazmine Wheeler shared her thoughts on Facebook, reflecting the community’s grief: "This hits hard because half of us got to know him and half of us grew up with him. I know right now we are all probably checking on each other to make sure we are okay. Life is not always easy, but many of us have loved ones that he is with. Growing up with him and going to church camp with him and my brother, you know how little brothers are at times. This is not an easy time for many of us, but I will say this: he will always fly high. I know in the days to come we will all have highs and lows, but being a mom to an angel baby, I had to learn on my own at first. Life will get easier, I promise."
The community has started to rally around the fundraiser, with everyone expressing their love and support for Dorian and his family. Despite the pain and loss, this effort highlights the importance of collective togetherness in times of crisis. Dorian will always be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved him.
