The late Dionzae Travon Foote, a resident of Washington D.C., was tragically murdered on Saturday afternoon, June 29, 2024. His unexpected death has left his family and community in deep sorrow. Dionzae studied at Fayetteville State University and attended Potomac High School.
Dionzae’s sister, India Cobb, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his burial services. The fundraiser has a goal of $10,000, and as of today, it has raised $125 from three donors. India expressed the family’s plight on the fundraiser page, saying, "As you all may know, my brother Dionzae Foote was murdered Saturday afternoon June 29, 2024. His death was unexpected. We fell short on some of the funding and we’re asking for your help for his burial. Anything will definitely help and we will greatly appreciate it. Even if you can’t help please say a prayer for our family."
Friends and community members have also shared their condolences and memories on Facebook. Bruce Waynejit wrote, "damn we was just on the phone two weeks ago and i was just bout to visit i love you always my nigga my ace my brother like god damn Dionzae Travon Foote’." Another friend, Exiled Pharoah, simply asked, "What happened to dat boy."
The community’s support is vital as the family navigates this difficult time. Donations, prayers, and kind words from friends and loved ones are greatly appreciated as they work to honor Dionzae’s memory and lay him to rest.
