The late Dillan passed away yesterday after a four-year battle with cancer, leaving behind an army of broken hearts. His family and the community are mourning his loss deeply.
Amy Ramsey, who organized a fundraiser on GoFundMe, shared the devastating news and the financial struggles they are facing. She wrote, "For 4 years we have poured every penny into his care, every bit of our savings, every pound we raised. I know it might not look like it from the outside but we have lost everything from fighting for so long." The fundraiser aims to raise £50,000 to cover Dillan’s funeral and monthly bills, but so far only £805 has been raised from 24 donations.
Raquel Oliveira also expressed her grief on Facebook, asking for help and support, "Please help if you can… please share. Dillan just passed away yesterday fighting cancer for 4 years."
The family, already burdened by private medical bills, is struggling to keep up with ongoing expenses. Amy highlighted the need for financial support to cover funeral costs, potential relocation, and to take time away to grieve and spend time with their daughters. "Oz has carried us through by himself for so long and lost everything more than once, we just need a break and to grieve, and spend some time with our daughters who we have lost so much time with," Amy added.
The community’s support is crucial for the family to manage their immediate needs and honor Dillan’s memory in a meaningful way.
