The late Devon Foushee passed away suddenly on Monday, June 17th. His daughter, Kiana Foushee, is now facing the challenge of securing funds to cover his funeral expenses and to take over his apartment. This unexpected loss has placed a financial burden on her, especially since she had just moved out of town two weeks prior to his passing.
Kiana is organizing a fundraiser to raise $2,000 to cover the costs of two bio urns and the initial rent payments for Devon’s apartment. The indoor bio urn, a traditional windswept juniper tree urn in a pearl white ceramic pot, costs $275 plus $50 for logo and engraving. The outdoor bio urn, which will contain Devon’s ashes and be planted near his resting place, costs $175 plus $50 for logo and engraving. In total, the urns amount to $550.
Additionally, Kiana needs to secure $1,410 for two months of rent to take over her father’s apartment, which holds sentimental value and provides her with a stable place to live. The remaining funds will help cover taxes and fees associated with the process.
As of now, the fundraiser has raised $275 from three donations, with contributors like LaTanya Campbell donating $200, Candace Wells $25, and Jaden Cook $50. Kiana expresses deep gratitude for any support received, emphasizing the importance of laying her father to rest peacefully and maintaining his legacy through his home.
