The late David Lazaro, hailing from San Antonio, Texas, has sadly passed away. His family and community are now faced with the heartbreaking task of preparing for his burial. David’s daughter, Linda Lazaro, is organizing a fundraiser to help cover the funeral expenses and lay her beloved father to rest.
In a Facebook post, Linda shared, "It is with a heavy heart I share with you all that our father David Lazaro has been called upon by the Lord and is no longer with us. We are asking all our family and friends for any donations to help us lay our father to rest. Any donations are greatly appreciated and we thank you all in advance from the bottom of our hearts."
The GoFundMe campaign, titled "Help Lay Our Beloved Father, David Lazaro, to Rest," aims to raise $3,000. As of now, $50 has been donated by Brooke Longoria, who became an early supporter. Linda expressed the family’s unexpected loss, saying, "We thought we had more time. We thought he would have a surgery, begin his recovery process, and our visits with our father would continue. The Lord had other plans and has called our father much sooner than we expected."
David Lazaro was described by his family as a strong, kind, and humorous man who fought bravely until the end. Linda highlighted his generous spirit, noting that he was always willing to help others, even with his last dollar. The family is now reaching out to friends and community members for support during this difficult time.
Condolences have poured in on social media. Yvette Olveda wrote, "My sincere condolences and prayers for you and your family during this time." Similarly, John Aguirre, Juliz Martinez, Monica De Jesus, Jackie Lam, Agustin Galvan, and Rebecca Lee Villalobos all expressed their heartfelt sympathies and support for the grieving family.
Linda’s message underscores the family’s need for collective support to honor David’s memory and fulfill the obligations of his final rites. This tragic event has united the community in an effort to provide the necessary funds to lay David Lazaro to rest.
