Cristian Mendoza Ramirez, aged 31, tragically passed away on June 28, 2024, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch due to a drowning accident. His family and friends are now raising funds to cover his funeral expenses and send his body back to Mexico, his country of origin.
Cristian was the youngest of four brothers and one of six siblings. He was known for his calm, positive, and joyful personality. Passionate about cooking, trying new foods, and exercising, Cristian’s enthusiasm for life was infectious. In 2023, he moved to the United States to support his family financially, despite the risks and his reluctance to leave his home country. His primary goal was to ensure his children, eight-year-old Cristian and one-and-a-half-year-old Hannah, could receive a good education.
Yoselin Plazas, Cristian’s niece, organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise $11,000 for the funeral and related expenses. The campaign aims to ease the financial burden on his devastated family during this difficult time. So far, $100 has been raised by one donor, Omar Mendoza.
Cristian’s family is heartbroken by his untimely death and wishes to give him a proper farewell. Any support for the fundraiser is greatly appreciated, as it will help fulfill Cristian’s dream of providing a better life for his family.
