The late Corbin Anderson from Sweet Home, Oregon, was involved in a fatal wreck at Foster Lake on June 21, 2024. The tragic incident occurred near the dam by the Marks Ridge lookout while Corbin and the family dog, Hagen, were in his black 4Runner. Hagen survived the accident and was found later that night by the wreck site, a small blessing amidst the immense tragedy.
Corbin Anderson leaves behind his wife, Ivy Links, and their two young daughters, Maryn, age 2, and Marleaux, age 1. Ivy, a stay-at-home mother, now faces the daunting task of raising their children and managing household expenses without Corbin, who was the primary breadwinner for the family. The family is deeply grieving the loss of a beloved husband and father who was known for his kind heart and joyful spirit.
A GoFundMe campaign organized by Ivy’s sister, Zoe Links, aims to support Ivy and her daughters during this difficult time. The fundraiser has a goal of $20,000, with $360 raised so far from five donations. Zoe expressed the family’s deep grief and the urgent need for support, stating, "It brings our family deep grief and sadness to even have to make such a fund. Sadly, we lost the kindest, happiest, best daddy to his daughters yesterday, June 21, 2024."
Zoe also shared her gratitude for the community’s support and emphasized the importance of any contribution, no matter how small, to help ease the burden on Ivy. "I ask that you spare what you can, even a dollar can help I promise you. We want to take as much weight off Ivy’s shoulders as possible," she wrote on the fundraising page.
Friends and family have taken to Facebook to share their condolences and memories of Corbin. Irelyn Phelps commented, "An absolute tragedy. Please help comfort this family while they navigate the loss of their husband and father. Please pray for peace & relief for the Anderson & Links Family. I am so sorry for your loss, Corbin was a wonderful & kind man." Zoe Links added, "With much grief, I share this GoFundMe with you all, thank you for the support and love we’ve seen already. Corbin is missed so deeply by so many loved ones, succeeded by his wife and two beautiful little girls. Anything will help, we want her to be able to be home with her family at this time."
The community’s outpouring of support highlights the far-reaching impact of Corbin’s life and the collective effort to help his family through this unimaginable loss.
