The late Chisa Roberts, from St. Paul, Minnesota, was a beloved daughter, wife, and mother. Her family and community are currently grieving and preparing for her final farewell. Chisa, who had been on an incredible journey of sobriety and finding a new sense of purpose through religion, tragically passed away after a series of medical complications.
Chisa’s transformation over the past two years was remarkable. Jennifer Marie, a close friend, expressed her shock and sorrow on Facebook: "I have been so proud of the beautiful changes you had made these past two years. Sobriety, Religion, a sense of purpose was looking so damn good on you. I’m sorry those changes were not enough. You will be incredibly missed." Angie Brust also shared her disbelief, posting, "What?!?!? Omg!!!!! Not Chisa Roberts !!!"
Jadyn Hernandez has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support Chisa’s family. The fundraiser, titled "Help for Chisa Roberts and family," aims to raise $20,000 to cover the costs of medical care, funeral expenses, and support for her children. As of now, $120 has been raised through three donations. Evelyn Kepke-Schierhold and Theresa Hernandez are among the donors, contributing $50 each.
The fundraiser page highlights the suddenness of Chisa’s condition. After a joyful hike with her dog, Lady, Chisa was diagnosed with severe liver damage, which led to fatal brain damage. She is currently in the ICU, surrounded by her family, who are making their final goodbyes.
The Hernandez/Roberts family has always been self-reliant, but they are now seeking support during this difficult time. They hope to give Chisa the farewell she deserves and provide for her family’s future. "We do not expect much, but if you are in a lucky enough situation to be able to give anything, that would go a long way," Jadyn Hernandez writes on the GoFundMe page. "Thank you for loving and supporting Chisa; she will be remembered forever."
