The late Carol Luistro passed away in a tragic accident on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Carol and her family were camping with a group at Russell Brook Campsites in Roscoe, NY, preparing to go white water rafting. A sudden tornado/microburst storm with 90 mph winds, severe rain, and hail struck the area. Carol, her husband Lloyd, and their sons, Daniel (15 years old) and Max (12 years old), sought shelter in their cabin when a massive 100 ft tree fell on the corner of the cabin.
Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, and daughter, deeply cherished by her family and friends. Known for her radiant smile and her passion for life, she always volunteered to help those in need. Carol was a beloved figure, celebrated for her brilliance, humor, and caring nature. At 45, she still had much to offer to the world.
Tatiana Yusupova has organized a fundraiser to support Carol’s family during this difficult time. The goal is to raise $30,000, with $575 raised so far from five donations. The funds will assist the family with immediate needs and ensure that Carol’s children have the resources necessary for their education. The community is urged to donate to honor Carol’s legacy and help her family stay strong through this painful period.
