The late Caleb Weisbarth was a cherished member of the Fenton community, known for his roles as a devoted father and esteemed football coach. His sudden passing has left his family, including his two young sons and wife, as well as the entire community, in deep sorrow.
Caleb dedicated many years to coaching youth and varsity football, profoundly impacting the lives of many young athletes. His ability to bring joy and a sense of belonging to those around him was unmatched. As shared by Fenton Football on Facebook, "Caleb’s presence alone would brighten the room, and he never failed to help those around him smile and feel loved."
In the wake of his unexpected departure, Caleb’s family and friends are facing not only emotional but also financial challenges. To support his family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Chanse Setzke. The fundraiser, titled "Support for Coach Caleb Weisbarth and His Family," aims to raise $20,000 to alleviate the financial burden on his family and ensure they have the resources needed to navigate this tough period.
As of now, the fundraiser has garnered $625 from nine donations. Contributions have come from various members of the community, including Michelle Fitzer and Ayden Gray & Family, each donating $50, and Kris Kilpatrick, who donated $100. An anonymous donor has generously contributed $200.
Fenton Football’s tribute to Caleb underscores the significant impact he had on those around him: "In remembrance of a remarkable father and esteemed football coach, whose passion for the game was matched only by his dedication to his family." The community’s response has been heartfelt, reflecting their collective desire to honor his legacy and support his loved ones.
This fundraising effort is not just about financial assistance; it is also a testament to the community’s solidarity and the lasting impression Caleb left on everyone he encountered. By coming together, they hope to provide some measure of stability for the Weisbarth family and keep Caleb’s memory alive through their compassion and generosity.
