Caleb James Beyers, a cherished Brand and Design Manager at Bast Fibre Tech and a beloved resident of Pender Island, British Columbia, tragically passed away on April 28, 2024. He was just 43 years old when he succumbed unexpectedly to a health issue that struck without any forewarning, leaving behind his wife Hanahlie Beise and their two young sons, Asher and Eliah.
Caleb was a dynamic figure, known for his vibrant creativity and boundless energy, which he applied to various passions including art, design, writing, and more. His sudden demise has profoundly impacted his family, friends, and everyone he influenced with his creative vision and compassionate nature.
A fundraiser organized by Alex Conconi titled "Support Caleb’s Family in Their Time of Need" has been established to assist Caleb’s family during this difficult time. The campaign aims to raise $40,000 to help cover immediate and future expenses for his wife and sons, with $13,750 already raised. Contributions are meant to support housing, food, medical costs, and potentially to contribute towards an education fund for his children.
The community’s response to his passing highlights the indelible mark Caleb left on those around him. Luke Ramsey, a lifelong friend, expressed his sorrow on Facebook, saying, "Caleb was always about play, and it shows in all his creativity. A genius mind that constantly explored possibility and collaboration." Another friend, Pablo Zamudio, shared his shock and fond memories, noting Caleb as "an amazing person, smart, generous, compassionate, super talented artist with the biggest heart."
As the news of Caleb’s passing spreads, his family invites everyone to share memories and pictures on his social media to keep his spirit alive. They also anticipate announcing a celebration of his life soon. Meanwhile, the outpouring of love and support from friends and strangers alike continues to grow, underscoring the significant void left by his departure.
