Bob and Norma Koenig recently suffered the heartbreaking loss of their beloved son, Brooks, who passed away earlier this week after a long battle with mental health challenges. Despite his struggles, Brooks was remembered by his family and friends as a kind and giving person who brought joy to those around him.
In addition to his parents, Brooks leaves behind his sister, Rebecca Rich, her husband Tom, and their three daughters. The family is deeply mourning the loss of Brooks and navigating this incredibly difficult time together.
Emilie Priola and Haley Wiggers have organized a fundraiser on behalf of Rebecca Koenig to assist Bob and Norma with the unexpected expenses that have arisen. The funds will be used to cover moving and dump expenses, as well as cremation and burial costs. As of today, $650 has been raised out of the $8,500 goal from eight donations. Contributors like Jennifer Shute, who donated $100, and C. Barker, who also donated $100, have shown their support within the last hour.
Jennifer Shute commented, "Brooks was a wonderful soul, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts." This sentiment reflects the community’s love and appreciation for Brooks, despite the challenges he faced.
Any contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated to help alleviate the financial burden on the Koenig family, allowing them to focus on healing and honoring Brooks’ memory.
