Brooke Bohl Symons, who resided in Sarasota, Florida, passed away suddenly on June 24, 2024, at the age of 41. Her unexpected death has left a profound impact on the many friends she made around the world. Brooke was a trained paramedic who saved numerous lives during her career, and she was known for her deep sense of caring, comedic comfort, vitality, fearlessness, and zest for life.
Amy Radican, Brooke’s best friend, is organizing a GoFundMe campaign to celebrate Brooke’s impactful life. The funds raised will be used to memorialize her in multiple locations, including the southeastern United States and the United Kingdom, where Brooke had planned to meet many friends in July. The fundraiser also aims to cover expenses for taking care of Brooke’s beloved dog, Kiya, and for her mother’s trip to Iceland to cremate Brooke and scatter her ashes, as Brooke requested.
As of today, the campaign has raised $125 out of a $10,000 goal, with two donations from Amy Radican-Wald and Rebekah White.
Brooke’s friend, Ammo Can, shared on Facebook, "Brooke Sookie Symons is loved and will be remembered by friends she made worldwide. She had such a way about her you’d instantly feel like her family. The world is less without her here."
Brooke’s passing has left her friends and community grieving, but they are determined to honor her memory and continue her legacy of compassion and kindness.
