The late Brian T. Moody, a beloved 16-year-old from Dayton, was tragically gunned down by Dayton Police on June 29, 2024. His family and the community are in deep mourning, struggling to cope with the sudden loss of a young life filled with promise and potential.
Brian was known for his kind, respectful, and caring nature. He was a cherished son, grandson, brother, and nephew. Brian’s passion for sports was evident as he actively played football and basketball, bringing joy to those around him.
To support the funeral and burial expenses, Brian’s aunt, Alexis Collier, has organized a GoFundMe campaign. The fundraiser, "Help Honor Brian T. Moody’s Memory," aims to raise $8,000. As of now, $125 has been donated by five individuals, including contributions from Isaac Ivery, Tori Royalston, Nicole Abernathy, Gina Handy Minyard, and an anonymous donor.
Jane Doee expressed her grief on Facebook, stating, "I can’t wrap my mind around making this post. I’m sad, angry, furious and overwhelmed. Brian was my baby, the person you can call for ANYTHING, and he could brighten your day." She urged others to donate or share the fundraiser, highlighting the community’s collective heartbreak and support.
The family is appealing to the community and beyond for assistance during this difficult time. Brian’s tragic death has left a void that cannot be filled, and the family seeks help to honor his memory and lay him to rest with dignity.
