The late Brian O’Shea, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, has left the Yonkers community heartbroken. At 50, Brian’s sudden passing has led his family to seek financial support for his memorial services. Scott Orgera has organized a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of Jennifer O’Shea to raise $20,000, of which $150 has been raised so far.
Jennifer Lynne shared her heartfelt tribute on Facebook, reminiscing about Brian’s impact on her life. "Rest in peace Brian O’Shea. This one hurts different. Everyone who had the chance to know you is grieving right now. You and your family were such a big part of my life growing up since 5th grade. I’ll never forget the Gigantic Valentine’s Day card you carried up the back hill of Emerson in 7th grade. Gorton HS…I’m grateful for all the times you checked on me over the years & glad I got to see you again later in life. Your entire family, sisters, Jennifer and Kelli, Dad, sons and Mayra are in our prayers during this surreal, and sad time. Till we meet again my forever friend, Rest in eternal peace," she wrote.
Condolences have poured in from friends and family, reflecting the profound loss felt by the community. Laurie Clare remembered Brian as a wonderful person, while Jimmy Brogan wished him peace in heaven. Jennifer’s post received numerous comments, with friends expressing their sorrow and offering their prayers.
The GoFundMe campaign highlights the financial burden faced by Brian’s family during this difficult time. "We’ve lost a one-of-a-kind, incredible father, son, brother and friend in Brian O’Shea. During this time all of our hearts are heavy and his family is scrambling to put together funds for his upcoming funeral/memorial services. While we realize these are tough days for many financially, we’re reaching out to everyone that knew B during his 50 years with us — especially those from Yonkers as well as his electrician family — to see if you can help ease some of the burden. Anything you can spare, no matter the amount, would be greatly appreciated. If you aren’t in a position to donate at this time, we just ask that you keep the O’Shea family in your prayers," the campaign states.
Brian O’Shea’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the stories and support of his friends and family.
