The late Beth Woodrome, from Lima, Ohio, passed away recently, leaving her family and friends in deep sorrow. On Sunday, June 2nd, Beth collapsed at her residence and was rushed to the hospital. Despite the medical team’s efforts, it took 20 minutes to restart her heart, causing irreversible damage. The family made the painful decision to let her go, but not before she had the chance to become an organ donor, a gesture that underscores her selfless nature even in death.
Beth’s passing has left a significant void in the hearts of her loved ones. Her daughter Briana Villarreal, affectionately known as Bri, is now faced with the daunting task of handling the funeral costs amidst her grief. To support her, Rachael Lesko has organized a GoFundMe campaign aiming to raise $8,000. As of now, $125 has been raised from two donations, with contributions from Michelle Granskog ($25) and Adrienne Swartz ($100).
Charity Solper, a close friend of Bri, shared her thoughts on Facebook, saying, "Many of you know Bri, but for those of you who don’t, she is an incredible woman who has overcome so many things in her life! She is an amazing friend that has become my family. Recently her mom passed, and we are trying to help Bri support her funeral cost. Anything you can donate would help, and please keep this amazing human in your thoughts and prayers."
The community’s support is vital during this challenging time, and every contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. The fundraiser highlights not just the financial strain of such unexpected events but also the resilience and solidarity of the community coming together to support one of their own.
