The late Barrett Rogers from Melfort, SK, passed away on June 10, 2024, at the young age of 33. He left behind his beloved wife, Millisa, and their three children, Jace (10), Addison (5), and Declan (3). Barrett was a devoted family man who worked hard to support his loved ones. Tragically, he passed away while doing a side job to earn extra income for his family.
Barrett and Millisa married on September 10, 2022, after being together for over 17 years. His untimely death has left the family without his income and facing significant financial challenges, including funeral expenses. Since Barrett was working a side job when he passed, the family is not eligible to receive life insurance benefits.
In response to this heartbreaking situation, Lisa Aasen has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support Millisa and her children. The fundraiser aims to raise $10,000 CAD to help the family during this difficult time, ensuring they have the means to grieve properly and manage the financial burdens left behind.
The community has already begun to express their condolences and support. Jaymond Meier shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, saying, "I love you Barrett Rogers and I’m sorry I never got to say goodbye. You will be missed by all who had the blessing to know you. You will always be remembered. May god watch over you and your beautiful family. I wish it would have been me instead of you. I’ll see you sooner than later my brother. Until then take care up there my friend."
Other friends and community members, including Doug Isbister, James Lestage, Jeff Gallant, Dorthy Folden, and Chantel Stonestand, have also expressed their sorrow and support for Barrett’s family during this time of grief.
Barrett’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew him, and the fundraising effort is a testament to the community’s desire to come together to support his family in their time of need.
