The late Arnitta Davis was from Madisonville, TN. The community and her family are now struggling to prepare her funeral, as her life insurance policy is not paying out as expected. Arnitta’s granddaughter, Ashlyn Lenoir, is organizing a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the funeral expenses and support the family during this difficult time.
Arnitta Davis was a beautiful, caring, loving soul to many and fought lung cancer for two years before passing away. Despite her efforts to ensure her final arrangements would be managed, her family has encountered an issue with her life insurance policy. "No, her insurance won’t pay," Reva Lenoir confirmed on Facebook, adding to the family’s emotional toll.
The GoFundMe campaign, organized by Ashlyn Lenoir and Haleigh Jones, has raised $670 of the $5,000 goal with contributions from four donors. The family is asking for the community’s support. "This is the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever done in my life but we just want to give our nana the funeral she wanted to have," Haleigh M Jones shared on Facebook. In response, Hailey Brooke Lowe encouraged her, "Do not ever be embarrassed girl! She was loved by plenty!"
Donations to the fundraiser include $100 from Erica McDaniel, $50 from Lauren Stanton, $20 from Susan Fritze, and $500 from an anonymous donor. The family expresses their gratitude for any contributions, no matter how small, as they work to honor Arnitta’s memory.
For those wishing to contribute, donations can be made through the GoFundMe page or directly at the Biereley-Hale Funeral Home.
