Tragedy struck the dreams of Arisbelkis Valdez and Daniela Valdez, siblings who aspired for a better life in the United States but lost their lives during their journey. Their tragic passing occurred far from home, with Arisbelkis’s body located in El Salvador and Daniela’s in Guatemala. The siblings, originally from the Dominican Republic, had embarked on a hopeful journey which ended prematurely, leaving them far from their loved ones and their homeland.
The heartbroken family is now desperate to repatriate Arisbelkis and Daniela’s remains to the Dominican Republic for a proper farewell. The financial demands of such repatriation exceed the family’s means during this sorrowful time, prompting Nathalie Rosario to organize a fundraising campaign to cover the high costs involved. The fundraiser, titled "Help Bring Arisbelkis Valdez and Daniela Valdez Home," aims to collect $14,000, of which $1,160 has already been raised through 30 donations.
Contributors to the fundraiser include individuals like Danny Santana, who made both a recent and the top donation of $100, and an anonymous donor who started the donations with $10. The family and Rosario are urging the community for support, emphasizing that even small contributions can significantly impact their efforts to bring Arisbelkis and Daniela back to their final resting place in the Dominican Republic. Their call highlights the urgent need for community support to fulfill a last gesture of love and respect for the siblings, ensuring they can rest in peace surrounded by family and friends in their native country.
