The late Annette Kiss from Sydney was tragically murdered on June 27, 2024. Her death has left her family and community in deep shock and mourning. Annette’s children are now faced with the heartbreaking task of managing her affairs and arranging her funeral, while also navigating the complex legal proceedings that follow such a violent incident.
A GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Sharon Hacker to support Annette’s family during this difficult time. The campaign aims to raise $10,000 AUD to cover the funeral expenses and other associated costs. So far, $3,410 AUD has been raised through 24 donations. The largest contribution, $1,000 AUD, came from Brad Webb, with other significant donations including $250 AUD from James Coley and $50 AUD from John Diamond.
Annette’s oldest son, Six, is a small business owner and a well-known figure in the community. He has had to take considerable time off work to handle the sudden responsibilities thrust upon him and his siblings. Sharon Hacker expressed her gratitude towards Six, recalling how he had previously set up a GoFundMe campaign for her when she was attacked and needed help to save her business.
Many in the community have shared their condolences and memories of Annette on Facebook. Threshold Sydney wrote, "Many of you will know Six. He has always been there for his friends. His mother was brutally murdered 2 days ago. He is understandably needing a break and needs help over this period. Any help now is very appreciated to help with settling her affairs and assisting Six during this devastating time."
The outpouring of support reflects the strong bond within the community and the profound impact Annette had on those around her. Her tragic death has not only brought sorrow but also highlighted the importance of communal support in times of crisis.
