The late Angelina Machado was from Hialeah. Her family is reeling from the heartbreak of losing her to brain cancer and is now struggling to give her a dignified farewell. Angelina was diagnosed with brain cancer in December and bravely endured months of intensive chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and numerous hospitalizations.
The financial burden of Angelina’s illness has been immense. Both of her parents have been unable to work while caring for her, and her grandparents’ resources have been exhausted in their efforts to support the family. Tragically, Angelina’s condition recently worsened, leading to her being placed on life support after her organs ceased functioning. She was declared brain dead, leaving her parents with the agonizing decision to disconnect her from life support.
In this devastating time, Angelina’s grandparents are seeking funds to ensure she receives the dignified farewell she deserves. Surelis Castellano, a family member, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 for her funeral expenses. So far, $425 has been raised through six donations.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated by the family as they navigate this incredibly difficult period. Your kindness and support mean the world to them.
