The late Angel Blakley was the child of Stefanie and Nicholas Blakley from Antioch, California. The community is now rallying to support the family as they prepare for Angel’s burial. Stefanie Venegas, a close family friend, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to cover the funeral costs.
Stefanie shared their heartbreaking story on the fundraising page, explaining that she experienced a miscarriage that began on May 2nd and lasted until May 8th, when she finally passed the pregnancy sac. The couple, who are devout Catholics, have decided to bury their baby at the Holy Cross Cemetery to honor their faith.
The miscarriage was complicated by the fact that it was an ectopic pregnancy attached to Stefanie’s recent C-section scar, leading to severe health risks. Stefanie described a harrowing journey involving multiple hospital visits and a near hysterectomy. Despite the trauma, the couple named their lost baby Angel Blakley, reflecting their deep love and sorrow.
Stefanie’s Facebook post, shared with Nicholas Blakley, appeals for help: "To anyone who find it in their heart to help us lay our Angel to rest, any help is welcome and appreciated. God bless." The GoFundMe campaign aims to raise $3,000 for the funeral costs, and the family is asking friends and loved ones to share the link and donate if possible.
The community’s support is vital for Stefanie and Nicholas as they navigate this painful time, trying to do what is right by their faith and keep their child close to home.
