The late Andy ‘Singy’ Singleton was from England. This week, his family and friends are mourning the loss of a loving husband, father, son, grandad, and a beloved friend and mentor to many. Kieran Dixon has organized a fundraiser to support Andy’s family during this challenging time.
Andy Singleton, known affectionately as ‘Singy’, passed away recently, leaving behind a grieving family. His wife, Angie, described him as her rock and her world. The fundraiser created by Kieran Dixon aims to raise £1,000 to assist the family with funeral expenses and other needs. As of now, £495 has been raised through 17 donations, with contributions from friends and loved ones like Janey Wright, who donated £25, and Shane Whittaker, who gave £100.
Mark Nordwind shared his thoughts on Facebook, expressing the profound loss felt by those who knew Andy: "I’ve had to say something on behalf of the family: we can’t tell you how devastating the news is. His passion wasn’t clubs, although he worked with us in all adventurous venues. All I can say is, he was the most trustworthy GM I’ve ever come across, and probably will again. He was unremarkable & kind, hardworking, and me or my family think he was one of his own."
Mark continued, "We thank you for everything you’ve helped us done & achieve. Without you, it couldn’t have worked. Now rest easy, go get them fish in heaven & a JD COKE! We are forever grateful & you’ll be solidly missed by the family. Fly high, SINGY. LU & miss you, my friend."
Other friends and family members also shared their condolences on Facebook. Angi Lena simply wrote, "RIP." Kelly Sinclair said, "This news has really saddened me," and Julie Crudge added, "God bless." David Stote and Lisa Jane echoed these sentiments, expressing their sadness and remembrance of Andy.
As the community comes together to support Angie and the rest of Andy’s family, their collective grief is palpable. The fundraiser reflects the deep impact Andy had on those around him and the need for communal support in times of sorrow.
