The late Amari Johnson was one of the twin daughters of Aynesha Ingram from St. Louis. Tragically, Amari passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 21st, at just 2 months old. Her mother, Aynesha, is now grappling with this devastating loss amid a series of other personal challenges.
Aynesha’s life has been extremely difficult over the past few months. After experiencing complications in her pregnancy, she was hospitalized from February until she gave birth to Amari and her twin sister, Ayla, on March 6, 2024. Thankfully, both girls were born healthy.
Shortly after the birth of her twins, Aynesha’s mother suffered a stroke, and she later learned that her father is battling cancer. Despite these hardships, Aynesha remained strong, taking care of her newborns and supporting her parents while being on maternity leave and without an income for two months.
The financial strain led to Aynesha facing eviction. Though she has recently returned to work, the sudden loss of Amari has compounded her struggles. Lakesha Eaton, a friend and coworker of Aynesha, has organized a fundraiser on behalf of Sadie Lodge to help support Aynesha through this difficult time.
The fundraiser aims to raise $10,000 to assist with living expenses and funeral arrangements for Amari. So far, $365 has been raised through six donations. Lakesha emphasizes the need for both financial support and prayers for Aynesha’s strength during this tragic period.
The community is called upon to help Aynesha maintain a roof over her and her children’s heads while she navigates the grief of losing her daughter and the ongoing challenges facing her family.
