The late Allan Moss, a beloved figure from Frederick, Maryland, was a sound supervisor in television and a proud United States Marine. He passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer, a fight that had stretched on for four years. Allan was initially diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2020, a diagnosis that drastically changed the course of his life. Unable to work during his treatment, Allan faced the challenges of his illness with the support of his wife, Michelle, and their 9-year-old son, Dylan.
Allan’s friend, Eileen Walsh, expressed her sorrow and admiration on Facebook, saying, "I am heartbroken that this time, it’s for my good friend Allan Moss, who loves to make everyone laugh, the best sound man in the business, and a proud United States Marine." Eileen also highlighted Allan’s unyielding spirit and the critical role his family played during his illness.
A fundraiser organized by Minsa Cho has been set up to support Allan’s family in this difficult time. As of today, the campaign has raised $5,300 of its $30,000 goal. Donations have come from friends, family, and even anonymous benefactors, with the largest contribution being $1,000 from Juanita Thompson. The funds are intended to help Michelle, who has taken leave from her job to care for Allan, and to provide for their son’s future.
Allan’s legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and dedication, both in his professional life as a sound supervisor and his personal life as a devoted husband and father. His passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory continues to inspire and bring people together in support of his family.
