Alissa Gardner, a 36-year-old resident of Clinton, New York, succumbed to her illness on June 4th. In the Spring of 2021, she received a liver transplant, which granted her a second chance at life. However, the procedure came with numerous complications, and despite her long and hard fight to stay with her loving family, she ultimately passed away.
Alissa leaves behind her beloved daughter, Cali, who was the light of her life. With Alissa’s passing, her family faces significant financial challenges, as she had no life insurance. To help cover the costs of her burial and to support Cali’s future needs, a GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Ashley Grabeldinger.
The fundraiser, created just yesterday, has raised $420 of its $7,000 goal through three donations. Jennah Turner generously contributed $350, an anonymous donor gave $50, and Lisa Lounsbury added $20. The campaign aims to give Alissa the burial services she deserves and to provide for her daughter in the absence of her mother.
Ashley Mosher, a friend, expressed her gratitude on Facebook, writing, "I cannot thank everyone enough for reaching out with their messages of condolences & support (& will respond to everyone as soon as possible). Please consider donating to Alissa Gardner’s GoFundMe, she was only 36 & had no life insurance. She deserved SO much more in this world that we would like to give her the proper burial she deserves! If anyone could please share and get the word out, it would also be so greatly appreciated!"
This community effort highlights the immense support and solidarity from friends and family during this exceptionally difficult time. Any additional funds collected through the campaign will directly contribute to the ongoing care of her daughter, ensuring that Alissa’s legacy continues through the love and care provided to Cali.
