The late Alexander Thrash, affectionately known as Bubba, was from Hardy, Arkansas. He was only 28 years old when mental health issues tragically took his life. Bubba’s sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of many, particularly his beloved son, who was the light of his life.
Tiffany Thrash, who appears to be a close family member, has organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "Stand with Bubba’s Family in Their Loss" to help cover the unexpected funeral costs. The goal is to raise $5,700, and as of now, $60 has been raised from two donations: $50 from Haley Bratton and $10 from Marti Peel.
Tiffany’s heartfelt message on the GoFundMe page highlights the devastating impact of mental health issues and urges the community to contribute, even if it’s just a dollar. She writes, "Alexander Thrash, better known to the world as Bubba, was taken from this life at the young age of 28. He left behind many friends and family, including the light of his life, his son. Mental health issues are a real disease and ultimately, this disease took him from us. We are asking for donations to cover the unexpected cost of his funeral, even if it’s just a dollar. #THRASHthestigma."
The campaign encourages donations directly to Wortham Funeral Home as well, providing an alternative way for supporters to contribute.
On Facebook, friends and family have shared their grief and memories of Bubba. Jo Ward simply posted "RIP" five hours ago, reflecting the community’s collective sorrow. Tiffany Thrash’s post on Facebook also mirrors her GoFundMe message, emphasizing the need for support and understanding around mental health issues.
This fundraising effort is not just about covering the funeral expenses but also about raising awareness of the critical impact of mental health on individuals and families. Bubba’s story is a poignant reminder of the importance of mental health support and the far-reaching effects of its neglect.
