The late Alexander Marce was from Fullerton, California. The community and his family are devastated by his sudden passing and are struggling to prepare his burial and support his loved ones.
Alexander, fondly known as Alex, was struck by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle on Wednesday night at the intersection of Orangethorpe and Gilbert in Fullerton. He was only 28 years old. Alex was a family man, an intelligent, caring, and loving individual who always found the positives in people and life despite many setbacks.
A GoFundMe campaign titled "Helping Hand for Alexander Marce’s Loved Ones" has been organized by Samantha Vergara. The goal is to raise $20,000 to help support Alex’s family and cover funeral expenses. As of today, $375 has been raised from five donations.
Claudia Flores, Alex’s cousin, shared her grief and a plea for help on Facebook, saying, "Last night we lost such a wonderful human being who I had the honor of knowing my whole life. My cousin Alex is now with the Lord, but we are asking for your prayers and your help. If you may please donate or share this to help our family, we would greatly appreciate it. We love you so much, my amazing and talented cousin; we will meet you in paradise."
The Marce family is heartbroken over the tremendous loss. They describe Alex as an incredible friend and loved cousin who brought warmth and light to their lives. Samantha Vergara, the fundraiser organizer, expressed the family’s gratitude for the support and prayers during this difficult time.
Angelica Padilla, Jose Corona, Eric Vergara, Manuel Jimenez, and Alexys Munoz are among those who have already contributed to the fundraiser. The family looks forward to welcoming friends and loved ones to join them at Alex’s burial, with details to follow shortly.
In this time of immense sorrow, the Marce family seeks comfort and support from the community to honor Alex’s memory and ensure he is laid to rest with the dignity he deserves.
