The late Alexander Gabriel Aguon was a beloved member of the Stockton community. Tragically, he was taken from us on May 25, 2024. As the firstborn of eight boys, Alex was an awesome man and a great brother, known for his love of sports, music, and designer items. He played for the Stockton Colts Hockey team and often wrote music. Alex had a heart of gold and would give his last dollar to anyone in need.
His mother, Ramona Aguon, is now faced with the heartbreaking task of preparing his burial and is seeking financial support through a GoFundMe campaign. So far, $485 has been raised out of the $15,000 goal. The community has come together to help, with donations from individuals like Aiyanna Lara, who contributed $300, and several others who have given generously.
On Facebook, friends and family are expressing their condolences and support. Velma Ramos shared, "This one hit deep as this was my close friend of mine’s son. As a mother, I can’t imagine the pain. I’m so sorry, friend. I got you. Please help share so she can put her son to rest. Thank you." Jillian Miller also showed her support by sharing the fundraiser and sending prayers to Ramona. La’trice Ch’aka extended condolences to the families and friends affected by this tragedy.
Ramona Aguon highlights the importance of better communication with our youth and the need to address the rampant gang life that is destroying families in Stockton. She expresses her profound loss, stating, "I am truly at a loss for words as a mother. Rest In Paradise, my beautiful baby boy."
The community’s efforts to support the Aguon family in this difficult time underscore the importance of collective compassion and action in the face of such personal and societal challenges.
