The late Alex McAntee from Oak Valley, Queensland, tragically passed away recently. His sudden death has left his life partner, Jessie Naumann, and their four young children—Zayden (10), Oakley (4), Miley (2), and their 9-month-old baby, Romeo—facing unexpected funeral expenses and the challenges of daily living costs.
Kayla Gurr, a friend of Jessie Naumann, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support the grieving family. The fundraiser, titled "Donate in memory of Alex McAntee," aims to raise $10,000 AUD to cover Alex’s funeral expenses and provide financial assistance to his family during this difficult time. As of now, the campaign has raised $80 AUD from four donations.
Jessie Naumann expressed her gratitude on Facebook, saying, "Hey guys, we appreciate any donation of any size. We also understand times are tough for everyone at the moment with the cost of living so even just sharing will be a massive help."
Friends and community members have rallied around the family, offering condolences and support. Jake Leathers, one of the donors, commented, "Jess, I am very sorry to hear about Alex and here if you need anything xo."
Kayla Gurr highlighted the importance of the fundraiser, stating, "This was very sudden and with this family now left with unplanned expenses for a funeral to honor Alex and the day-to-day cost of living only getting harder I know this beautiful family could do with some help. Any amount will be appreciated and help this family through the most difficult time and keep them on their feet while they grieve and get their lives back on track."
The community’s support, both through donations and sharing the campaign, reflects the collective effort to help Jessie and her children during this challenging period.
