On Wednesday, the nineteenth, a beloved son, brother, and friend, Alex Dennis, tragically lost his life in an accident. The news of his passing has left his family and the community in mourning. Alex, who hailed from Lapeer, was known for his selflessness, always prioritizing others and bringing joy to those around him. His family would spend their summers camping near Sugar Springs, and Alex was fond of sharing stories about his jetski adventures.
In response to this heartbreaking loss, Jaron Sylla has organized a fundraiser to support Alex’s grieving family. The goal is to raise $11,000 to help alleviate the financial burden during this difficult time. So far, $110 has been raised through the generosity of donors such as Makayla White, Danielle Madaj, Jared Greenier, and Rachel Downing.
"Alex was an incredible person who always knew how to lighten the mood and laugh at adversity," Jaron Sylla wrote in the fundraiser description. "Your support will take some of the stress from his family and let them grieve in peace. Even a little means a lot."
The community is encouraged to contribute and share the fundraiser to ensure a strong response. Every donation, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated and will help Alex’s family cope with their immense loss.
