The late Alejandro Oaxaca, who lived in Sioux Falls, passed away on Thursday, May 23rd. Alejandro’s struggle with health began several months ago, leaving him unable to work for an extended period. Three weeks prior to his death, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a very aggressive form of cancer. Alejandro’s passing has left his family, including his wife Victoria and their 15-year-old daughter, in a difficult situation.
Victoria, Alejandro’s wife, also faces significant health challenges, including the need for foot surgery, which has prevented her from working. Due to these compounded hardships, the family is in dire need of financial assistance to cover funeral costs and other ongoing expenses.
Brian Faulkner, a close friend of Alejandro, has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to support the family during this challenging time. The goal is to raise $12,000 to help offset the high costs associated with the funeral and to assist with the family’s financial burdens due to their inability to work.
In his heartfelt plea, Brian described Alejandro’s courageous battle with leukemia and the subsequent impact on his family. The community is encouraged to donate and help the family through their time of need, highlighting the importance of collective support in times of crisis.
Alejandro’s passing has left a void in the lives of his loved ones, and the fundraising effort aims to provide some relief as they navigate this tragic loss.
