The late Aiden Diroff passed away in his sleep while on vacation in Aruba with his family. This tragic event has deeply affected his family and the Huron community. Aiden, remembered as "the happiest kid on Earth," was always smiling and excelling in everything he did, including his love for singing in the choir. His untimely death at such a young age, just a 9th grader, has left a significant void in the lives of his parents, Renee and Mark Diroff, and his two brothers, Ashton and Andrew.
In the wake of this tragedy, Michael Dillard organized a GoFundMe campaign to support the Diroff family during this difficult time. The community has rallied together, raising $5,605 of the $20,000 goal to help cover funeral costs and other unforeseen expenses. Donations have poured in, with Jennifer Lemerand contributing $500 as the top donation and Michael Dillard also donating $500 as the first donation.
On Facebook, Rachael Little shared her grief, writing, "It is with a very heavy, broken heart that I ask you to keep Renee Mosczynski Diroff, her family and our Huron family in your thoughts and prayers. Aiden was always smiling and working hard at everything." Blaire Malloy and Jen Schmader also expressed their condolences, with Blaire stating simply, "Praying," and Jen sending prayers to the family.
This outpouring of support highlights the strong bond within the community and their shared empathy for the Diroff family’s loss. Each contribution, regardless of size, is a gesture of solidarity, showing the Diroffs that they are not alone in their moment of despair. The community’s kindness serves as a beacon of hope, helping the family find comfort and strength to move forward.
