The late Ahliana Martina Dickey was from Lowell, Massachusetts. The community and her family are struggling to prepare her burial, so this news is devastating. Ahliana’s parents, Scott Dickey and Stephanie Wetherbee, are fundraising for her funeral. They have expressed their deep sorrow and need for support in this tragic time.
For their daughter’s burial and to seek justice for her, Scott Dickey created a GoFundMe campaign. Raising $20,000 is their goal. They have managed to raise $2,005 from 18 donations so far. Scott and Stephanie described their agony in the fundraiser: "Our beautiful daughter Ahliana, only 15 years old, was brutally taken from us. No parent should have to bury their child, especially not to a monster who took an innocent life."
The family is reaching out for help, emphasizing the need for justice. "We need to be her voice!! Please anything helps our family," Scott wrote. They are seeking not just financial support but also prayers and strength from the community.
The community has shown support through donations and messages of condolence. Tracy Leonardo wrote on Facebook, "God please be with us…help put this precious baby to rest …love u all and may you have strength, going through this.. Justice for beautiful Ahliana." Sha Isaias also shared his feelings, "Unbelievably SAD."
Top donations include $500 from Kevin Thistle and $100 from an anonymous donor. The family appreciates every contribution, regardless of the amount, and is deeply grateful for the support during this trying time.
