Aaron Anthony Taminich, known to many as AJ, tragically lost his battle with mental health recently. His father, Thomas Lott, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, describing AJ as someone who could light up any room and be larger than life. Despite his vibrant exterior, AJ’s struggle was profound and ultimately overwhelming.
Tami Taminich, Aaron’s mother, also expressed her grief on Facebook. She described Aaron as an amazing son, a kind-hearted person, a talented athlete, a great friend, and a huge advocate for underdogs. Tami fondly remembered the moments of laughter and goofiness they shared, expressing her eternal gratitude for those cherished memories.
In the wake of Aaron’s unexpected passing, his family is seeking support to give him the proper celebration of life he deserves. A GoFundMe campaign organized by Tami Taminich has been set up to raise funds for his funeral. The goal is to reach $5,000, and as of now, $3,485 has been raised from 23 donations. Notable contributions include $1,000 from Jeff and Steve Kirshner-Meepos, $100 from Chris Soto, and $100 from Tracy Minor.
Thomas Lott urged everyone to regularly check up on their loved ones suffering from mental health issues. The family’s plea underscores the importance of mental health awareness and support.
Messages of condolence and support have poured in from friends and family on social media. Linda Latham wrote, "No words, so sorry, so hard, may his memories in good times help heal. Take care!" Lisa Specht sent prayers and condolences to Tom, while Sahnyé M J-Waldrum extended love and prayers to the family. Jocelyn Robbins and her partner Clark also expressed their deepest condolences.
The community’s support during this difficult time highlights the need for collective compassion and understanding in the face of mental health challenges. Aaron’s legacy as a bright, kind, and compassionate individual will be remembered by all who knew him.
